TRUNK OR TREAT FOR A CURE IN LOS LUNAS
The 5th annual Trunk or Treat celebration in Los Lunas has added a charitable component for this year’s trick-or-treat and costume contest event. “Attendees are asked to again register in advance so we make sure to have enough candy, but we’ve added an optional donation. That will go to support the Children’s Cancer Fund of New Mexico,” said Dennis Taylor, Director of Operations for the Melloy Auto Group in Los Lunas. The Trunk or Treat event will be Sunday, Oct. 29th, from 11am to 3pm at the dealerships in Los Lunas. The check-in point will be the Melloy Ford dealership at 357 Emilio Lopez Rd. in Los Lunas.
A scavenger hunt will be held on the lots, including the adjacent Melloy Chevrolet and Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram locations, with families entering answers to clues in an online portal and getting candy at each stop.
Parents, check in at the Melloy Ford store where each child will get a Candy Bag, then visit all 3 dealerships for candy for the kids! The first 200 families also get a free BIG pumpkin! Costume contests for families, adults and the Most Original with a $250 Visa gift card for each one! Somebody will also be winning a big screen TVFor the kids, carving-sized pumpkins will be given out to the first 200 families.
“We love doing this event for our community,” said Pat Melloy, dealer principal for the Melloy Auto Group. “The donation is optional; this is a free event but for those who would like to donate, the funds will support kids with cancer who may not be able to trick or treat or engage in other fun activities.”
