Nearly Half a Billion Dollars Up For Grabs In Tonight's Powerball Jackpot

There's a pot of gold up for grabs Saturday night as the Powerball jackpot climbed to an estimated $455 million after 19 straight drawings failed to produce a winner.

If you're feeling the luck of the Irish, your odds are 1 in 292 million of winning. A grand prize winner would have the option of taking the $455 million over 29 years, or in a one-time, lump-sum payment of $269.4 million (before taxes of course).

If no one picks the six numbers drawn in tonight's lotto, the jackpot will roll over into the next drawing on March 21st.

The last time the Powerball got this high, a single ticket worth $559.7 million was sold in New Hampshire to a winner who went under the name "Good Karma Family 2018." The Good Karma Family went with the lump-sum cash option of $352 million.

A record $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot was shared among three winning tickets that were sold in California, Florida and Tennessee.
