Ryder Cup And Presidents Cup Postponed Due To COVID-19

The PGA of America announced that the 2020 Ryder Cup and 2021 Presidents Cup have been postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic. The Ryder Cup, which was scheduled to take place on September 25-27 at Whistling Straits in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, will take place in 2021 on September 24-26.

As a result, the PGA had to move the Presidents Cup, which was scheduled to be played at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, in September 2021. That match will now happen on September 22-25, 2022.

"As disappointing as this is, our mandate to do all we can to safeguard public health is what matters most," PGA of America CEO Seth Waugh said in a statement. "The spectators who support both the U.S. and European sides are what make the Ryder Cup such a unique and compelling event, and playing without them was not a realistic option."
