The Phoenix family who found themselves looking down the barrel of a police officer's gun after their 4-year-old stole a doll has been paid $475,000 for the inconvenience.
Dravon Ames and Iesha Harper have revealed they've agreed to an out-of-court settlement with the City of Phoenix, accepting substantially less than the $10 million requested in their suit.
The settlement stems from a June 2019 incident in which Ames and Harper -- who was five months pregnant -- had been shopping with their two children, unaware that their 4-year-old daughter had stolen a doll, according to the lawsuit.
A police officer followed the family back to their apartment complex and drew a gun on them when they exited their vehicle.
Video of the encounter subsequently went viral.
