Abbott Elementary star Quinta Brunson and her husband, Kevin Anik, are headed for divorce after three years of marriage.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Brunson filed for divorce from Anik in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences.
Court documents state that the pair signed a postnuptial agreement. Brunson is asking the court to divide their property per the agreement.
Brunson and Anik got engaged in July 2020 before tying the knot in 2021. The pair kept details about their relationship relatively under wraps, rarely sharing photos of each other on social media. The two don't share any children together.
The creator and star of Abbott Elementary did thank her husband for his support during her acceptance speech at the 2022 Emmys.
"In case I am not back up here again, I have to thank my mom, dad, brothers and sisters, my cousins ... my wonderful husband because he's the most supportive man I've ever known and my incredible cast and show for helping me to make this show and make the pilot," Brunson said amid her historic win for outstanding writing for a comedy series.
Brunson thanked her husband again during her speech for the 2023 Golden Globes.
"I didn’t prepare anything because I just didn't think ... Oh god. I love my mom, my dad, my sisters, my brothers, my entire family so much. I love my husband. I'm so happy. I love my cast. Oh, I love Abbott Elementary. Thank you so much," she said.
