Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan said the team is "open to everything" in relation to the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.
"We're open to everything at this point," Callahan said via ESPN. "If it's something you feel is beyond the value you ever thought you could get that's one thing. But you also have to look at what a potential quarterback could look like. Those guys, to me, are priceless."
Callahan, who had previously worked as the Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator (2019-2023) and a quarterbacks coach for the then-Oakland Raiders (2018) and Detroit Lions (2016-2017) before being hired by the Titans last year, said the franchise was "two weeks away-ish" from making a concrete decision on what to do with the No. 1 overall pick, acknowledging that there were still more "touchpoints" to go through with prospects. Tennessee is scheduled to attend the University of Colorado's pro day, which will feature two-way Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, one of the draft's highest projected overall prospects and Shedeur Sanders, projected by many as the No. 2 quarterback prospect, on Friday (April 4).
The Titans had personnel meet with Sanders at the East-West Shrine Bowl in January and hosted the quarterback during a formal meeting at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine and again at their team facility earlier this month. Tennessee also met with former Miami quarterback Cam Ward, projected by many as the No. 1 quarterback prospect, at the combine and hosted him in Nashville for a top-30 visit, while general manager Mike Borgonzi and president of football operations Chad Brinker attended his pro day.
"[I told them] 'I'm solidifying it today,'" Ward said via ESPN. "They finally got to see me throw in person. That should be all they need to see. But at the end of the day ... I'm going to be happy whatever team I go to. I'm just trying to play football."
