Rapper Chance the Rapper recently left fans and Twitter users frustrated after he publicly supported Kanye West’s bid for the White House.
This morning (July 13), Chance retweeted Kanye’s post promoting his new song, “Donda.”
The song honors Kanye’s late Mother and features Donda opening the song by reciting lyrics from the classic KRS-One record, “Sound of Da Police.”
Many felt Chance’s comments on the new song were irresponsible as this is a crucial election. Following the backlash, Chance continued to ask his followers if they were pro Biden or anti West and why. His rant and questioning led to him trending and getting dragged on Twitter.
Chance doubled down on his comments after Terry Crews (who has recently been in hot water for making tone deaf comments regarding Black Lives Matter) came to his agreement.
