Meet our Pet of the week, Kolumbia.

posted by Janae Martinez -

Kolumbia (ID# A 1771444) is a 2 year old female, golden-red Australian Cattle Dog mix weighing 38 pounds. This lovely girl is a great age, slightly shy and wants to be your constant companion. Give her a moment and she will quickly begin to shower you with kisses. She will need someone that will be patient and willing to help her boost confidence. She whimpers to let you know if she's feeling a little lonely left behind. Learning things such as basic obedience class will easily accomplish confidence building and she already knows “sit”. She’s pretty good on leash yet practice-- makes perfect so here’s your daily walking partner. She needs a home without birds or chickens….you know those herding dogs…birds must be chased. Our staff suggests children 8 or over that understand a shier companion. We always suggest you bring your entire family along to meet your prospective pet—it is a life long commitment after all. If you already have a dog bring him/her in too for a meet and greet. If you like your best friend to be a super sweet cuddle bug then Kolumbia is your next best friend. Come on in to the Eastside shelter, 8920 Lomas Blvd NE to meet her.
