Meet our pet of the week, Laika

Laika (ID# 1761478) is a 1 year & 1 month old, female black & white German Shorthaired Pointer mix weighing 54 pds. Laika is a larger, active, super sweet beauty. Yes, her eyes are really that blue-maybe she wants a new name befitting her gorgeous eyes along with a new family. She likes to rest her paws in your lap and her head against your chest. She’s looking for a family that will appreciate her breed and keep her body and brain exercised. She doesn’t do well being left outside without any “people time” and nothing to keep her occupied or walks to let her explore, sniff and burn some energy. She’s benefit from basic training class to perfect her leash skills. Our staff says she will be good with children over 5 that can understand her slightly shyer side and she is a bigger companion. Bring in any other dogs to meet Laika and it’s always best to have your entire family come in to meet a prospective pet.
