Can you help this guy find a new home? Meet Diesel, our Pet of the Week

Diesel (1772600) is a 1 year and 11 month old, male brindle Labrador  Retriever mix weighing 68 pounds. He’s a big handsome boy, a little on the shy side and surprisingly mellow. He’s pretty good on leash and really enjoys his time out taking a walk. He'll to anything for a tasty treat and will show off his pretty "sit". Kennel life is hard on Diesel, partly due to living in a kennel that’s not quite big enough for him and he enjoys a calm, quieter environment and the shelter isn't exactly a calm quiet place so  he’s lost some weight. His owner lost his home and the apartment wouldn’t allow a dog this size so sadly he had to give Diesel up. Diesel enjoys just being with his people being your shadow following you around from room to room or just chilling at your feet. Our staff say he will be good with children 15 and over due to his slight shyness with new people and fast movements. He’s well behaved around other dogs (even helping our staff with other dog’s behavior tests)  but hasn’t shown any real interest in play or interaction so if you’re not looking for a one and only he will need to meet any dog in your home prior to adoption. You will find this big handsome guy with a heart of gold at our Eastside location, 8920 Lomas Blvd NE.
