Chloe (ID# 1243913) is our pet of the week. Can you help this beautiful girl find a home?
Chloe (ID# 1243913) is 1 year & 6 month old, female brown brindle Catahoula Leopard hound mix. She’s tall, larger dog weighing 78 pounds. Chloe is a soft mannered small dog in a large body. She kinda wants to be a lap dog-- cuddling with the top half of her body in your lap resting her big head on your heart. Chloe thinks the shelter is too noisy for her so she’d like a calm quiet home. She does love to take easy walks, run around the yard a couple times and chase lizards too. She’s looking for someone to take her on daily walks, maybe morning and evening? Someone that will offer her lots of love and affection. She’d like to be your constant companion, curl up at your feet, her own bed next to yours or maybe share yours? She’s quick to offer kisses and snuggles. Perhaps it’s just the shelter environment but she has some anxiety. She needs someone that will help her learn that a brush, toy or phone isn’t a scary thing--she tends to duck down as if these things will hurt her. You will notice her lovely brindle markings—what a beauty this dog is both in looks and personality. Our staff says she’d be fine with children 12 and over that understand her slight shyness and how to help her with any anxiety she may have coming into a new home. Kid’s toys might be scary too! If you have any dogs in your home she will need to meet them prior to adoption—she has been shy around other dogs and doesn’t understand the wild ones. Chloe’s fan club would love to help you meet her so bring the whole family over to the Eastside location, 8920 Lomas Blvd NE to meet her. Please take her out to the big play yard away from the kennel.
