"Know that I’m with you The only way that I can be Until you’re in my arms again Remember me" I've been working on these Cosplay for a while and I'm so happy to finally share the first pictures we took! I watched "Coco" three times in a week and it did not matter how many times I told to myself "you can do it" I always ended up being dehydrated from the tears I shed. This movie in my opinion was perfect from the beginning till the end, the characters, the light design, the costumes, but most of all: the storyline. Watching the relationship between Mama Coco and Miguel was like having flashbacks of the story between me and my grandmother. She also had some health problems caused by age that created in her difficulties to remember things. She comes from old times where Cosplay and internet did not exist but that did not stopped her from supporting me and my art with all herself, like Mama Coco did with Miguel, she was always there to support him and enjoy his company even if she did not completely understand what Miguel was doing. About the Makeup, I covered my eyebrows and re-paint them to enphasize the expression of my eyes, I worked with cream products to give my face a round appearance and with bronzer I gave our skintones a warmer tone. On my grandomther I only re-painted the point of the eybrows and intensified some shadows with powders (in particular around the eyes, cheeckbones and nose) to intensify her wrinkles and expressivity, I used some blush to make her cheeks pop out. I'm wearing cricle lenses to give my eyes a bigger and childish look and I also waited for months to have my hair of the right lenght to play this character, I thought the color was very similar to the original one! I feel honored and blessed to have the chance to involve my grandmother in what I do <3 She asked me to attend again a Comic Convention together and in Cosplay so... this may happen! Manuel D'Andrea nailed it! Inspired by the movie Coco, he transformed himself to 12-year old Migue and even had the help from his own grandmother too. He transformed her into Mama Coco. Well done!
